INCUBATOR COMPONENTS

PEDAGOGY
The Learning Curve curricula immerses our Scholar Entrepreneurs in 2 required tracks.
Track 1 - STEM Topics

Topics or subjects are taught from September to June using a variety of thematics and instructional delivery options including: self-immersion, experiments, skills workshops and learning strategies. The learning strategies are devised to deepen subject matter comprehension, stimulate inquiry, cultivate critical thinking and enhance test-taking confidence.

Track 2 - Entrepreneurship & Culture

Learning Curve utilizes a combination of the case method, experiential learning and a rotation internship to teach the entrepreneurship & culture track. The primary experiential component of the program is launching a venture and competing for $10,000 and an array of support and advisory services. Day-by-day, week-by-week Scholar-Entrepreneurs are required to submit, modify and refine deliverables that contribute to the launch of their venture. Scholar-Entrepreneurs will have to take a lot into consideration when forming their ventures including: founding teams, business structure, branding, marketing, intellectual property, equity financing, stock incentives, partnerships & joint ventures and much more.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO
EXPERIENCE IN LEARNING CURVE
  • 1    Learn by Doing - Come prepared to roll up your sleeves and make something.
  • 2    Learn by Renting Ideas - Hatching novel ideas is hardwork, so we encourage our Scholar-Entrepreneurs to borrow and adapt ideas.
  • 3    Learn the Culture - Learning and changing the culture of work and the workplace is part of what makes Learning Curve unique, so instead of a single internships, our Scholar-Entrepreneurs are engaged in rotations.
